Is it me, or is the definition of “live” changing? How is it a live set, if they are playing other people’s tracks? Isn’t it really a DJ set?

Yeah I’ve been thinking about that.
Most producers now-a-days seems to be selectors when playing sets. In my opinion this is a good thing cause it makes their sets more interesting and less ego sentric..

Yeah, I mean, I have nothing against DJ sets!… but I think it’s best to call it what it is.

True that!

Track 9 in Roska’s set is Rat Alert by Jan Driver.

loving it. the sets are quite diverse and yeah people are selecting more their tunes and not just trowing anykind of tune around which is good.

anyone got the FlyLo set tracklist?
10 sam // Jul 24, 2010 at 2:34 am
it’s ‘live’ because it’s a live recording of a DJ set (at Sonar 2010)

as opposed to a pre-recorded session or set mixed in a studio especially for MAH’s show, which I wouldn’t expect to be called live.
If it was a set being mixed live by a DJ or producer and broadcast from the studio, that could be called live too, I reckon.
