Since the release of their debut album in 2009, Geordie duo Smoove & Turrell have gone from being complete unknowns to performing to over 10,000 people at Glastonbury. Their first single I Can’t Give You Up became one of the most sought after 7″ releases of the year, and a hot topic on mod and northern soul forums.
Producer Smoove has a long career behind him, including that of a solo artist signed to the Acid Jazz imprint in its heyday; while blues singer John Turrell featured in Craig’s own Fantasy Funk Band. Second album, Eccentric Audio, has been well received with single Hard Work recently receiving national airplay on Radio 2.”
